Founder and Principal ConsultantKevin Okimura is an experienced CMC leader with over 15 years of building and leading cross-functional teams in the biotechnology industry. He is skilled in biologics product development, including cell line, cell culture, purification, scale-up, technology transfer, process characterization, process validation, selecting contract manufacturers, CDMO management, MSAT, and CMC project management. Kevin has contributed to 3 commercial BLAs (KEYTRUDA, ANDEXXA, and Orca-T), 10+ clinical programs, and 5+ post-commercial programs. He has worked in viral vaccine, recombinant protein, monoclonal antibody, cell therapy, and gene therapy modalities. Kevin’s most recent non-consulting role was the head of process development at CARGO Therapeutics, supporting 3 programs including both autologous and allogeneic therapies. He has been an independent biologics CMC consultant since 2025. Kevin received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
